Parents Meeting Minutes - May 27th, 2011

1 - Instructions for Signing Up

Youth apply now for summer 2011. All youths that have been involved for the school year 2010-11 must sign up for summer rowing via Youth Ready Chicago.
Instructions below:

Start a new summer application (9 Steps)

  4. Rank 1
  5. Applicant Info
  6. Other Applicant Info
  7. Survey Questions
  8. Consent Form On File (VERY IMPORTANT) – You can print this out after you are done applying!!!!

2 - Contact Information

We need all Parents contact info, especially mobile phone numbers. We will run a parent’s text message group (and twitter group) so that everyone is kept up to date.

3 - Official Parents Committee

CTC would like to support the creation of an official parents committee, lead by a president and secretary. Luis Lara, Mireya Espinosa, and Daniel Izguerra will start the process and start to organize for the next meeting.

4 - Code of Conduct

CTC Code of Conduct will be reviewed and amended to better suit our needs going forward.

5 - Mentorship

CTC will continue to modify our Mentorship role so that the participants can reap the most benefit possible while involved in the progam. Support from Parent’s will determine how helpful the mentors can possibly be.

6 - Bike Rack

CTC will look into obtaining a bike rack for the rowing site at Eleanor St.

7 - Weekly News for UNO

Weekly news for UNO kids will be added to the ‘Friday Folder’ starting fall 2011.

July 3rd Parent’s BBQ at Rowing Site (10:30am)
July 9th-10th Chicago Sprints Regatta
